Confined to My Castle

A Life Imprisoned at Home: Walls Close In
The boundaries of my home were always like a safe space. Now they constrict, a constant reminder of my confined existence. Days run into each other, marked only by the tick of the clock and the heavy weight in my chest. Every noise from outside is a sharp pang of the life I left behind.
I drift through these familiar rooms, yearning for some glimpse of light. The rays that once fell across my floor now seem cold, and the silence is oppressive.

Enduring on Lockdown
Life as we understand it has drastically altered. The world past our doors is a shadow of its former bustle. We are now stuck within the boundaries of our homes, forced to adapt to a new reality. The days melt, marked by the pattern of online meetings, consuming media, and eating. We long for the simple pleasures that were once assumed for granted: a hike in the park, a meal with friends, or even just a talk without a screen amidst us.
This new existence has forced challenges, but it has also unveiled unexpected strengths within ourselves and our communities. We have learned to be more understanding, more creative, and more appreciative for the little things in life. As we navigate this unknown territory, we must remain hopeful that brighter days are near.
Freedom's Six-Foot Line
Life behind bars is a harsh reality. Every day, you face boundaries that feel like an unbreakable wall. The world outside seems so reachable, yet it's separated by just a mere six feet.
Sometimes, the weight of those bars feels overwhelming. You desire freedom with every fiber of home arrest your being. Each new day serves as a constant echo that you're confined.
But even in the darkest moments, there's a flicker of hope. A hope that one day, you'll step over those bars and finally be released. That day might seem impossible, but it's a dream worth holding onto.
Freedom's Imprisonment
The allure with freedom can be a tempting force. Yet, paradoxically, it can even lead to confinement. This happens when the very notion of freedom becomes twisted, transforming into a weapon for control and domination.
Authentic freedom requires not only the absence for external constraints but also the development of internal strength. When this inner foundation is lacking, even within a society that values freedom, individuals can find themselves bound within the restrictions of their own thoughts.
Finally, the true measure with freedom lies in our ability to liberate ourselves the constraints that limit our potential, both externally and internally.
